Summary:A mobile telephone includes a display, a memory which stores at least an originator name associated with a telephone number or a mail address as originator information, and a display controller which controls display in notifying the arrival of an incoming telephone call or incoming electronic mail. It is determined whether the mobile telephone is moved in a preset pattern based on output from an acceleration sensor in notifying the arrival of an incoming call. In the case where the mobile telephone is moved in the preset pattern, the display controller causes the display to display an originator name from originator information.
