Summary:Disclosed herein is a novel nozzle tip assembly 250 for rapid replacement of nozzle tips 200 in a solid fuel furnace. The nozzle tip assembly 250 employs a pivot pin assembly 410, 420 430 that is recessed and protected from corrosion/abrasion. It pivotally attaches the nozzle tip 200 to the stationary nozzle 110. It employs a fastener 411 that is accessible from through the central opening of the nozzle tip 200. This allows removal of the nozzle tip from inside the furnace greatly simplifying nozzle tip 200 replacement.
