Summary:A portable device driven by a battery unit including a rechargeable battery which can be charged and discharged, the portable device includes an impact detecting part configured to detect an impact applied to the portable device; an abnormality determining part configured to determine whether an abnormality is generated in the battery unit based on status information indicating the status of the battery unit; and a display control part configured to control displaying by a displaying device of the portable device, wherein the abnormality determining part determines whether the abnormality is generated in the battery unit in a case where the impact is detected by the impact detecting part; and the display control part performs the displaying indicating the abnormality of the battery unit in a case where the abnormality determining part determines that the battery unit is abnormal.
