Summary:An electronic shoreline cleanup and assessment system includes a plurality of hardware and software elements configured to provide automation and greater efficiency for SCAT teams. In an exemplary embodiment, teams use digital cameras and GPS receivers programmed with data dictionaries in their survey efforts. Collected data can be synchronized with a laptop computer, which can then wirelessly transmit data to an environmental command center. The environmental command center can operate a central computer and central database, which permit useful operations with the gathered data.
