Summary:Provided are a computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided engineering (CAE) system and a method for designing and analyzing a ubiquitous system. The CAD/CAE system includes: a design system which generates a system model in a 3-layer structure including an environment layer defining environmental elements and physical structures of the ubiquitous system, a component layer defining devices constituting the ubiquitous system, and a scenario layer representing behaviors of components of the ubiquitous system, and re-defines the system model in order to define a plurality of design alternatives; a simulator which is connected to the design system to simulate the system model designed by the design system; and an analysis system which is connected to the simulator to analyze results of the simulation performed by the simulator and recommend an optimal design alternative.
