Summary:A high-power transient suppressor, having an input from a power source and an output to a load, includes a first power device coupled between the input and the output, a first transient detector to monitor an input voltage and to turn off the first power device in response to the input voltage exceeding a first threshold voltage, a second power device coupled between the input and the output, an integrator capacitor coupled to the output, and a second transient detector to monitor an output voltage, to switch off the second power device in response to the output voltage exceeding a second threshold voltage, and to turn on the second power device in response to the integrator capacitor discharging below the second threshold voltage.
