The tonneau cover apparatus includes a cover member extending from a position spaced apart from the baggage compartment opening toward the baggage compartment opening to cover the baggage compartment, and a guide portion which is formed at a portion of the baggage compartment opening to be covered by the gate and guides vertical movement of the cover distal end of the cover member.
