Summary: | A method, system, and program product for conducting a trade-off study are described. Under aspects of the present invention, a mapping of logical model to a physical model for a product that is a subject of the trade-off study is provided. Based on the mapping, component(s) for a configuration of the product will be selected from a semantic component library, which is a resource that identifies available components and possible connections there between. For each component selected, an instance will be generated and then graphically connected to other instances. Parameters can then be designated for the connected instances. Once the configuration has been built in this manner, it can be evaluated and revised as needed. |
