Summary:A video receiving system has one main-contract video receiver and at least one sub-contract video receiver connected to the main-contract video receiver via a network. The sub-contract video receiver has a) a video reception control unit which, when a video reception tuner unit receives a video signal, allows the video reception tuner unit to receive the video signal of a limited predetermined channel if a network connection detecting unit detects an unestablished connection with the main-contract video receiver; and b) a display signal output unit which outputs a display signal corresponding to the video signal received by the video reception tuner unit.
