Summary: | The present invention is directed to a novel pharmaceutical composition suitable for ophthalmic use comprising nanoparticles dispersed in a liquid dispersion medium, wherein said nanoparticles comprise a cyclooxygenase-2 selective inhibitor having adsorbed on the surface thereof at least one surface stabilizer. The ophthalmic formulation of the present invention is stable, non-irritating and sufficiently bioavailable. The invention also encompasses a process for making as well as a kit for preparing the novel ophthalmic formulation. |
