Summary:A computer implemented method, apparatus, data processing system, and computer usable program code are provided for obtaining data from an application. A class loader layer is instantiated for an application. The class loader layer is an interface between the application and a resource adaptor and the class loader layer has access to all classes for the application. The function is executed to generate a set of objects with a set of data types accessible by the resource adaptor responsive to receiving a request from the resource adaptor to invoke a function in the class loader layer. Finally, the set of objects are sent to the resource adaptor.
