Summary:A flexible, non-halogen electric wire comprises a conductor fabricated by twisting a plurality of strands and an insulator covering the conductor; wherein: the diameter of each of strands is 0.12 to 0.31 mm; the insulator includes an ethylene copolymer including 25 to 40 weight percent of vinyl monomer, which has an oxygen element in its molecular structure, other than vinyl acetate as a main constituent and also includes an elastomer as an accessory constituent; the main and accessory constituents are mixed to prepare a resin material; the resin material and a metallic hydroxide are mixed to prepare a cladding material; the conductor is covered with the cladding material; and the cladding material is then bridged to form a cross-linked resin.
