Summary:A secure optical information disc comprising an electronic article surveillance tag embedded within a recess of a substrate of the disc structure is disclosed. The tag is placed within the recess such that it does not interfere with reading optically encoded information using a laser beam pick-up assembly such as those used to read DVD, CD, HD and Blu-Ray (BD) discs. The tag is placed within a recess having either no inner wall or an inclined wall.
