Summary: | A circuit for driving a plasma display panel includes a scanning-electrode driving circuit for applying a drive voltage to a scanning electrode, which includes a first sustaining-clamp circuit for applying a sustaining-discharge pulse to the scanning electrode, and a reset circuit for applying a reset pulse to the scanning electrode. The first sustaining-clamp circuit includes a first power-source terminal having a voltage higher than a ground voltage. The reset circuit includes a second power-source terminal having a voltage lower than the ground voltage. The first sustaining-clamp circuit includes a first current cut-off device which prevents a current from running to the second power-source terminal from the first ground terminal, positioned in a current path other than a current path through which a current runs when a voltage is applied to the scanning electrode through the first power-source terminal. |
