Summary:An aromatic ring polymer wherein adjacent aromatic ring skeletons cannot have a conformation positioned on a single plane due to mutual steric hindrance of the adjacent aromatic ring skeletons and is represented by the following formula (1): X-A-Y-Bn (1) wherein X and Y may be the same or different, and each represent a monocyclic or heterocyclic bivalent aromatic group which may be substituted with R; A and B may be the same or different, and are each a single bond or a substituent which can contain an aromatic group; and n is an integer of 5 to 1000000. This polymer has a low dielectric constant, and is excellent in heat resistance and strength.
