Summary:The STB ( 2 ) includes a communication unit ( 202 ) and a print style update judgment unit ( 203 ). The communication unit ( 202 ) receives a print content including print data and print control information that are associated with each other. The print control information includes (i) printing apparatus information for specifying at least one printing apparatus or the model of a printing apparatus and (ii) a print style sheet describing print settings of the print data generated by the printing apparatus. The print style update judgment unit ( 203 ) judges whether a print style sheet should be updated or not by (i) extracting print control information from the received print content, (ii) obtaining print specification information concerning the specifications of the print output of the printing apparatus ( 3 ) including the information for specifying the printing apparatus ( 3 ) or the model of the printing apparatus ( 3 ) and (iii) comparing the printing apparatus information included in the print control information with the print specification information.
