Summary:There is provided an improved antiparasitic composition comprising an antiparasitically effective amount of an organic amine salt of closantel optionally a macrocyclic lactone and a non-irritating solvent system consisting essentially of an alcohol and a glycol derivative. Also provided are a method for obtaining increased levels of closantel in the blood of a homeothermic animal and a method for the enhanced protection of said animal from parasitic infection.
