Summary:Curable multimodal fluoroelastomer compositions contain a low viscosity fluoroelastomer component that imparts good extrusion performance and a high viscosity component that imparts good physical properties in cured articles. The fluoroelastomer comprises copolymerized units of vinylidene fluoride, hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. At least the low viscosity component also contains copolymerized units of a bromine- or iodine-containing cure site monomer such as 4-bromo-3,3, 4,4-tetrafluorobutene-1 or 4-iodo-3,3,4,4-tetrafluorobutene-1.
