Summary:A thermally insulating activity mat bag having a bag portion with two openable faces, an activity mat portion that is connected to the bag portion, a closure for closing the activity mat portion over the two openable faces of the bag portion, attachments for holding the activity mat bag to a surface, and tethers for holding toys and other items to the activity mat bag. The activity mat portion preferably bears graphical indicia thereon which can be themed to the tethered toys. Accessory mats with different graphical indicia can be provided which attach to the top, sides, or ends of the activity mat. The tethered toys can be selected to fit the theme of the activity mat portion and the accessory mat(s) if desired.
