Ultrafine particulate titanium oxide and production process thereof
Particulates, particularly ultrafine particulates of titanium oxide having a BET specific surface area of from about 3 m2/g to about 200 m2/g, preferably from about 5 m2/g to about 200 m2/g, and more preferably from about 10 m2/g to about 200 m2/g are obtained using a vapor phase process of producin...

Summary: | Particulates, particularly ultrafine particulates of titanium oxide having a BET specific surface area of from about 3 m2/g to about 200 m2/g, preferably from about 5 m2/g to about 200 m2/g, and more preferably from about 10 m2/g to about 200 m2/g are obtained using a vapor phase process of producing titanium oxide by oxidizing titanium tetrachloride with an oxidizing gas at a high temperature, wherein a titanium tetrachloride-containing gas and an oxidizing gas are reacted after preheating each gas at about 500° C. or more. The particulates, particularly ultrafine particulates of titanium oxide have less aggregation and have highly excellent dispersibility. |
