To provide a method for producing a resin molded article having openings which is free from generation of a weld in a conjunction portion of synthetic resin flows and which exhibits an excellent surface appearance and satisfactory strength and provide a resin molded article obtained thereby. This article comprises the step of injection-molding synthetic resin by using a mold, wherein said mold for molding said resin molded article comprises a cavity which has projections for forming said openings and projection-side peripheral portions surrounding the projections has flow-rate changing means for making the flow rate of said injected synthetic resin to be different at both sides of each of the projections; and wherein said synthetic resin is injected into said cavity of said mold through a resin-injection opening so that molding is performed.
