Summary:An ultrasound endoscope comprises an operation portion, an insertion portion coupled to the operation portion, a distal end portion coupled to the insertion portion and including a projecting portion and a distal end body portion, a balloon channel disposed inside the insertion portion and extending from the operation portion to the rigid distal end portion, and a balloon mounting portion between the projecting portion and the distal end body portion. The balloon channel includes a bending portion in the rigid distal end portion and a balloon outlet that is formed at the bending portion and connected to the balloon mounting portion. A cross section of the bending portion includes a first bending angle and a second bending angle, and the first bending angle is smaller than the second bending angle.
