Based on the monitoring of the backhaul, the communication management resource produces status information indicating a status such as ability of the backhaul to convey data communications between the first wireless access point and the backhaul. The first wireless access point then controls wireless connectivity between the first wireless access point and a mobile communication device based on the status of the backhaul.
