Summary:The application discloses an image display device and a control method thereof. The control method for the image display device includes: receiving a first image signal from a host and displaying a frame, a first frame data of the first image signal having a first frequency; determining that the image display device enters a Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) mode and writing a double frequency of a vertical synchronous signal into a storage unit; and informing the host to read the storage unit and alternatively outputting a second frame data and a black-insertion frame data from the host, the second frame data having a second frequency higher than the first frequency.
