Summary:Disclosed is a camera system included in a vehicle. The camera system comprises: a camera provided to a vehicle so as to capture the surroundings of the vehicle; and a processor for identifying an object present near the vehicle on the basis of an image captured by the camera, wherein the camera comprises a wide-angle lens, and a plurality of optical sensors for capturing a region within the viewing angle of the wide-angle lens, the wide-angle lens being designed so that the number of optical sensors for capturing a region corresponding to a predetermined angle range, among a plurality of angle ranges formed by dividing the viewing angle into predetermined angles, differs from the number of optical sensors for capturing a region corresponding to a different angle range.
