Summary:Methods and systems for indicating an audio forwarding failure at a Radio-over-Internet-Protocol (RoIP) gateway device of a RoIP system is disclosed. In one step, audio communication is detected from a radio handset communicatively coupled with the RoIP gateway device and is buffered. When an error in forwarding the audio communication to at least a portion of devices connected to the RoIP system, an audio notification indicative of the error is sent to the radio handset after determining the audio communication from the radio handset has ended.
