Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe an application command control user interface menu to facilitate user interaction between a user and a mobile application. An application command control menu is displayed on a display screen of a processing device. An input may be received into an application canvas of a launched application. The application canvas may be positioned above the application command control menu on the display screen. In response to a received input into the application canvas, a soft input keyboard application may be displayed. The soft input keyboard application may display below the application command control menu on the display screen. A selection may be received in the application command control menu. In response to the received selection, display of the application command control menu may be expanded to replace display on the soft input keyboard application on the display screen.
