Summary:An image projector includes an image data input, a controller, a light source, illumination optics, an imaging spatial light modulator (SLM), and imaging optics. The controller is coupled to receive the image data and is operative to determine a thermal state of the image projector. The controller also adjusts the image data depending on the thermal state of the image projector to generate thermally adjusted image data. The thermal state of facilitates adjustment of the imaging data, because the thermal state is indicative of changes in the lightfield incident on the SLM.
