Summary:A vehicle battery diagnosis method and apparatus are provided. The vehicle battery diagnosis method includes receiving battery state history data including data stored based on state of charge (SOC) ranges of a battery and SOCs of the battery. Maximum distributions of the SOCs of the battery are then determined based on the battery state history data. A state of the battery is diagnosed based on a reduction rate among the maximum distributions of the SOCs of the battery based on the battery state history data.
