Summary:A traversing unit for traversing a yarn with respect to a pair of delivery rollers of a workstation of a textile machine includes a yarn-guiding unit, a single traversing drive configured with the yarn-guiding unit, and a conversion element configured with the single traversing drive such a rotational movement (ω) of the single traversing drive is converted into a linear, reciprocating movement of the yarn-guiding unit. The single traversing drive is a rotating motor. A sensor is disposed to detect at least a middle position of the yarn-guiding unit.
