Summary: | This document describes reporting a buffer status by a user equipment (UE) (110) to a base station (121) in a radio access network (140), in which the user equipment (110) determines if a number of remaining bits in a Media Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) can be included in a Buffer Status Report (BSR), if a first logical channel has data pending for transmission, and that the first logical channel has a highest priority of logical channels that have data pending for transmission. The user equipment (110) sets a first subfield of a Logical Channel Identifier (LCID) to the first value, sets a second subfield of the LCID field in the first subheader to a second value that is associated with the first value, and transmits the MAC PDU to the base station (121). |
