Summary:Provided is a liquid crystal display device having a viewing-side polarizing plate, a liquid crystal panel and a light source-side polarizing plate, which are stacked sequentially, wherein the viewing-side polarizing plate comprises a first polarizer and a first protective film formed on a light output surface of the first polarizer, the light source-side polarizing plate comprises a second polarizer and a fourth protective film formed on a light incident surface of the second polarizer, and the TD shrinkage ratio of the fourth protective film is greater than the TD shrinkage ratio of the first protective film.
