Summary:Methods, systems, and apparatuses for logging U-turn events and vehicle routing are disclosed. A method for logging a U-turn event includes detecting, at a navigation system, a button press on a human interface device separate from the navigation system based on a signal received from the human interface device. The method also includes, in response to the user input, determining a location of a vehicle corresponding to the navigation system and one or more vehicle characteristics. The method also includes logging U-turn event data for the vehicle, the U-turn event data comprising the location and the one or more vehicle characteristics.
