Summary: | The present invention is directed to a coated conduit comprising: a) a conduit having an interior and exterior surface; and b) a cured coating formed from a reaction mixture that is applied to at least one surface of the conduit. The reaction mixture comprises: i) a filler material comprising fibers ranging in length from 0.1 to 15.54 cm and having an aspect ratio of at least 5; and ii) a reactive component that demonstrates a tack-free time of less than five minutes at a temperature of 20 to 25° C. The present invention is also directed to a method of repairing or reinforcing a conduit, comprising: (a) applying a curable coating composition to at least one surface of the conduit, wherein the curable coating composition is formed from the reaction mixture described above; and (b) allowing the curable coating composition to at least partially cure by exposing the composition to ambient conditions. |
