Summary: | According to one configuration, a redundant power supply includes a first power supply and a second power supply that collectively provide power to a (circuit) load during a non-test mode. During a power supply test mode, controller hardware in communication with the redundant power supply selects the first power supply for testing. The controller hardware disables failure reporting of the second power supply and then deactivates the second power supply. The controller hardware tests an ability of the first power supply to power the load while the second power supply is prevented from powering the load. If the first power supply is unable to individually power the load, the controller hardware provides notification to a respective target recipient to go forward with replacing and/or fixing the first power supply. |
