Summary:Disclosed are techniques for improving performance of short-range wireless network channel scans using receiver diversity. In an aspect, an electronic device having two or more short-range wireless network receiver antennas determines whether to utilize different receiver antennas of the two or more short-range wireless network receiver antennas to perform concurrently scheduled channel scans for different short-range wireless network radio access technologies (RATs) supported by the electronic device, or to perform an accelerated channel scan for a single short-range wireless network RAT of the different short-range wireless network RATs supported by the electronic device, and performs the concurrently scheduled channel scans or the accelerated channel scan based on the determination.
