Summary:Methods and systems for pre-configuring a payment vehicle are described. In some embodiments, transaction criteria pertaining to a payment vehicle is proactively received in advance of an anticipated transaction. A transaction authorization request may be received from a point of sale device and may be generated by the point of sale device in response to an attempted use of the payment vehicle. Information about the transaction in the transaction request may be compared with the transaction criteria to determine whether to authorize the transaction.
