Summary:The invention relates to powder metallurgy and concerns the element of the friction assembly and method of its manufacturing. A method of manufacturing the element includes application on the carrier and sintering of the charge of interlayer from the mixture of powders, in per cent by weight: iron 55 - 74.6, copper 25.39-40 and ferrophosphorus 0.01 - 5, application on the interlayer and sintering of the charge of antifriction layer on the basis of copper, in this case prior to application on the carrier the charge of interlayer is mixed with commercial kerosene. The interlayer has high ability to withstand big loads of shift and ensures high adhesion strength of layers.
