Summary:A method of magnetic separation of weak magnetic materials includes displacement of material along the longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies in the magnetic field which gradient acts against the gravity forces and depends on geometric form and magnetic properties of longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies, separation in the magnetic field of material into magnetic and nonmagnetic fractions. Displacement of the material which is subject to separation is accomplished directly in the clearance between longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies in the magnetic field, the magnetic induction vector of which is directed at a right angle to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the adjacent longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies, which completely or partly are the sources of magnetic field for each pair of adjacent ferromagnetic bodies. The method is realized in a device, which comprises, at least, two identical inclined toward vertical plane longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies arranged with a clearance and in parallel to each other, and the source of magnetic field which gradient in the clearance between longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies is directed in parallel to the plane of symmetry which divides adjacent longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies, and each longitudinal ferromagnetic body or its part are made from permanent magnets which are the sources of magnetic field of each pair of adjacent longitudinal ferromagnetic bodies.
