The invention relates to the area of engineering of repair of pipeline transport, mostly main gas pipelines with large diameter. At the pipeline, at two sides of the defect, one installs two rings pressed on the pipe. On the rings muff is installed, this has the upper and the lower taps. One performs two openings at both sides of the muff to the cavity between each pair of rings, with installationof taps there and pressing sealing agent through those, with formation of sealing elements at the ends of the muff. After the sealing agent cures, onefills the under-muff space under pressure equal or exceeding the pressure in the pipeline. The sealing agent has filler of elastic granules or fluoroplastic cuttings.
