Summary:A method for uninterrupted steel fining in intermediate casting ladles involves its transmission through the distributing partition with channels of different direction relatively to the vertical axis of the partition for metal passing and lancing with rare gas from below. Liquid steel flow with thechange of direction of the separate submerged streams passing is carried out simultaneously, according to the ratio F2Fh = 0.50 ? 0.65, in which: F2 - is total area of horizontal channels cross section; Fh - is total area of inclined channels cross section, through which steel flow in the direction to the opened surface is carried out, and lancing with rare gas is carried out in the zone at the distance of 7 ? 11 effective diameters of channels from the partition with the intensity of 0.20 ? 0.40 m3/min.
