Summary: | A method to isolate zoosporangia of the potato canker pathogen Synchytrium endobioticum (Schilb) Perc. from the soil includes drying the soil, grinding with a rubber pestle, bolting, centrifuging, revealing viable zoosporangia. Bolting the soil is carried out using the sieve with pores of 0.5 mm, 0.25 mm and 0.03 mm, washing the soil sample by ether above the last sieve (0.03 mm) to solve the organic substances. The centrifuging is carried out in a 48.5% solution of sodium iodide with a specific weight of 1.4 with the simultaneous coloration of the zoosporangia of the disease pathogen with the same solution that allows revealing the viable zoosporangia of the disease pathogen. |
