Summary:[Problem] To achieve excellent durability for frequent insertion/removal operations for a connector provided in a communication line, while ensuring transmission characteristics during high-speed communication. [Solution] Provided is a split-type connector 1A, in which split bodies 10A, 11A split into two at an intermediate position are detachably linked to connectors 5, 5, and which connects/disconnects a communication line through insertion/removal between the split bodies, wherein: the split bodies 10A, 11A respectively comprise insulating bases 130, 140 respectively holding a plurality of contact pieces 30, 40; the contact pieces 30, 40 are arranged side by side on the insulating bases 130, 140, and slits 130a, 140a are respectively formed between different pairs of the contact pieces; conductive shielding plates 110, 120 are respectively inserted in the surfaces of the slits; the split bodies 10A, 11A are linked, whereby the shielding plates 110, 120 form shielding walls that cause the distal end surface
