Summary:A method for reducing packet transmission delay includes: a preparation step in which a source device transmits at least one packet to a destination device through multiple paths in a multi-path network, and a threshold value is determined based on the number of the at least one packet, and an error rate is calculated based on the packet error rate of the plurality of paths; a judgment step, in which whether the error rate is greater than the threshold value is determined; a first transmission step, in which when the result of the judgment step is positive, the packet is duplicated into multiple packets, and the multiple packets are transmitted to the destination device through the plurality of paths; and a second transmission step, in which when the result of the judgment step is negative, the packet is transmitted to the destination device through one of the paths.
