Summary:A method for purifying combustion exhaust gas that includes passing combustion exhaust gas through a wet-type exhaust gas desulfurization device, removing sulfur oxides from the combustion exhaust gas and thereby obtaining a gas containing carbon dioxide, suspending combustion ash in water and thereby obtaining a combustion ash/water slurry, subjecting the combustion ash/water slurry to solid/liquid separation treatment and thereby obtaining a liquid component, subsequently bringing the liquid component into contact with the gas including carbon dioxide, and removing the carbon dioxide from the gas.
