Summary:Provided is a monitoring system (1) comprising: toilets (20) comprising sensors (21) which sense that said toilets (20) are in use; a first storage device (30) which stores a table in which use information indicating use times when subjects to be monitored use the toilets (20), instances of first identification information which respectively identify one or more carers who monitor the subjects to be monitored, and instances of second identification information which respectively identify one or more of the toilets (20) are associated; and a control device (40) which, if it is determined on the basis of the use information indicated in the table and sensed by the sensors (21) that an anomaly has occurred with the subjects to be monitored, transmits anomaly information resulting from the determination to terminal devices (50) of the one or more carers.
