Summary:In order to assist a user in inputting the user's line of sight to an input item presented on a display screen or in a sound image, the line-of-sight input device is characterized in that upon detecting a gaze point or an eyeball rotational movement of the user, the input item is moved from the detected gaze point toward a predetermined position on the display screen or in the sound image, or the input item is moved in accordance with the detected eyeball rotational movement, wherein the moving speed of the input item is increased with the increase in the distance of the gaze point from the predetermined position, or with the increase in the rotation angle of the eyeball rotational movement, and the moving speed is brought closer to zero with the decrease in the distance of the gaze point from the predetermined position, or with the decrease in the rotation angle of the eyeball rotational movement.
