Summary: | The present disclosure provides a bimetallic lanthanide complex including two lanthanide ions and a plurality of ligands coordinated to the two lanthanide ions, respectively. Each of the ligands has a structure represented by formula (i) or (ii). Accordingly, the present disclosure can utilize the bimetallic lanthanide complex as a catalyst of a copolymerization of carbon dioxide and an epoxide without a catalytic promoter, which can broaden the application of the lanthanides. In addition, the cost of the abovementioned application will be reduced so that the threshold in the present art can be overcome. |
