Summary:A foldable miter saw having a safety device includes a base, a worktable, a cutting unit and a safety key. The worktable is rotatably mounted to the base. The worktable has an axial holder and a positioning pin disposed thereon. The axial holder defines an axial line. The cutting unit has a driver and a rotatable member axially disposed on the axial holder and rotatable relative to the worktable. The safety key is detachably mounted to one of an operating end of the cutting unit, the rotatable member, or the axial holder. When folding the cutting unit, detach the safety key from the operating end for cutting off the power of the driver. Insert the safety key to one of the rotatable member and the axial holder for driving the positioning pin, such that the miter saw can be folded when the power of the driver is cut off for enhancing operational safety.
