Summary:The present invention is directed to devices and methods for controlling myopia. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for controlling myopia including identifying optical changes associated with near work and correcting optical changes with a contact lens. The present invention also relates to a device, ideally a contact lens, designed by measuring first wave front aberrations of an eye before pre-near work and measuring second measured wavefront aberrations of the eye after post-near work.
